Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the hair need to be in order to wax?
- General rule of thumb, hair needs to be at least 1/4 inch. That's about the size of a grain of rice.
Does it hurt?
- I won't lie to you! Yes, it can, but everyone is different, and it is totally bearable. We are removing hair straight from the root (epilation), but every client I have had has always said it was not as bad as they expected! You are in great hands!
Does waxing remove the root?
- Waxing works by fully removing each hair from the root, which weakens the follicle over time and can lead to finer, sparser regrowth. Consistently waxing during the crucial growth phase (3-6 weeks) yields the best and longest-lasting results, depending on your current stage in your waxing journey.
What type of wax is used?
- Both soft and hard waxes are used. Soft wax is primarily used on areas like the legs, which often have thinner and finer hairs, while hard wax is used for almost all other services. Soft wax is applied in a thin layer and removed with a cloth strip, while hard wax is applied and hardens before being peeled off without a strip. Soft wax adheres to both hair and skin, while hard wax primarily grips the hair, making it potentially less painful and better suited for sensitive areas.
Can I get waxed while on my menstrual cycle?
- Yes, you can, it's no problem for your waxer, but just be aware you may be prone to more sensitivity.
A tampon can be inserted during the service.
